Put your pre-screened Philippine candidates through the same interview process as your U.S. team. Leverage the available assessments to assess the candidates’ skills such as English as a Second Language, Writing, Listening, and/or job specific skills.
Treat your Philippine teammate as part of the team. They’ll feel welcomed and encouraged to contribute ideas to your organization. Filipinos are loyal and hard workers, but sometimes don’t speak up when they don’t understand some of the instructions. Set the expectation early that you want them to speak up and notify you that they’re unclear on expectations.
Provide training and ask your PH team to document the process if you do not have written standard operating procedures. Record the training so that the employee can refer back to it.
